Camomille is done

Finally I finished the Camomille sjawl and it is now dry too, so that I could photograph it. Now with the true color.

It is now so soft and cozy, after a wash. But it is huge for a scarf/shaw, for a small person like me ;)

But it's shape makes it great to wear... it does not fall of your shoulders.

Well I just managed to shoot this photo, before the rain came in for real :) And then I have to say that I do NOT have that pointy shoulders while stretching out my arms ;) The shawl dried up on my manequin... I should have thought about that!

I can now say for sure, that I really want to knit one more. In a grey or black color... that will be wearable for all of my clothes :)

Camomille is done

The Camomille sjawl is done :) Wohooo victory!! It have been on it's way for a long long time. My knitting mojo have been gone and then suddently it went back to me! And then the edge was teasing me....I never forget to look for corrections again! ;)

The colors on the photos isn't right. It is way more green and not so pale as shown. But after drying, I will shoot some good photos of it.

And I am lucky that I didn't have a single bed, but a 3/4'er... Or there wouldn't be room for a big shawl to dry. I already had to put needles in it, on the side of the bed too. Maybe I should wish for a bigger bed... and a bigger house ;)


Then after finishing Camomille, I went looking for something new to knit. I found out that I had the "Skulderblad" kit in stock. I will never get it knitted, so I am selling it. Let me know if you're interrested :)

Camomille

Finally it looks like a success :) After lots of trouble it finally seems to work out fine, after discovering that there was a few errors in the knitting chart.

So now it runs smoothly and no more holes where they aren't supposed to be!

Now I am close to getting it in use :) Mine will work as a scarf instead of a shawl. I rarely get to use shawls for some reason.

Now I am wondering how to block it while drying. It is pretty huge and I do not have that kind of space on the floor. And I didn't get any blocking wires in time to do it... So I guess I will have to use a lot of needles instead :)

But no matter what, I am looking very much forward to use it. And for the first time, I guess, I feel the urge to knit another one too, in a different color :)

Knit a bike

I could SO much do this to my bike !!! I need something funny and crazy, to do... and I don't mind that my bike is a little wierd and people are looking ;) Maybe they already do that... but that must be because of the rusty bike, they wonder if it really still could be used without breaking apart.

Really!? Couldn't it be fun? ;) My bike's always parked inside, when not in use... so it should look nice for a long period of time. Only I don't have thaaat much different yarn scraps... I gave it away while moving here in febuary... But I do have some. 

I know that some one else in this house, would think it were sooo embarrasing.  So I got to think hard, if I would dare to make her feel that way, walking down the city, hidden under an umbrealla, to hide her shame to know me ;) .... thinking thinking thinking

Well I don't use my bike that often, so it's kind of a huge project, "just for fun"... but on the other hand, I need a project !

Right now I could actually have been knitting for the bike, as I am on the couch with a blanket and a hot cup of tea.... My throat is soar and I caugh ... not feeling very well. But well I will go back on the couch, thinking about if I should start this project. :) Have a nice day out there!

I knitted a house

WOW I have been knitting :) That's a long time since last time I did that! But this was a small cozy project :)

A small mobilehome, from Kastaniestrik.

It is felted a little, so now it fits my phone perfectly. I think it was a bit difficult to sew in knit. But finally it worked out.

Should I just start up another one? Yeah, I think so....

Trees

There you go! Two finished and dry trees :) But they will not stand by themselves, like my friends trees. So I had to put some steel wire inside them. I have no idea what I have done different from her, but mine is just not cooperative :)
I will try to make some smaller trees too, maybe they will cooperate!

Knitmaster and trees

Today I bought myself an Emperial Knitmaster, and immediately started to knit x-mas trees. A dear friend of mine, allready had a machine like this, just without an instruction manual. But now we have one for sharing.... And she fought to find out how it worked, without!!
I got hooked from looking at her work, and for years I have wanted one of these, but never got to do anything about it. I thought they were more expensive.

So now was the time...

THe first thing I tried was, as told, x-mas trees. They are made of 6 triangles each. So I have practised decreasing my work ;) And I REALLY have practised to knit with a "Cookie-monster" on my lap!!!

But finally I won the battle... here you go: 6 triangles... knitted and sewn together. :) Just ready for the laundry machine. I have used yarn from Holst yarn, great yarn for this too.

Aaaand here you go, a finished tree, right from the laundry machine. :) So it's still wet and not so fluffy as wanted. But hope it will be better when dry.
For a tree like this, I have used 50 g of yarn.

So now the question is...  Is it okay with Purple trees? :) I have only purple yarn now... so I guess it will be okay... and matching my home all year aroung ;)
